It's time for the good news! Due to work of LME "Lev" with the homeless and owned animals, Lviv received the highest award in the rating of Ukrainian cities for transparency and success.
This rating was posted on January 29, 2018 on the FB page of our partners – Animal-id.info UA, the international platform on animal identification. "Please find below the rating of transparency and success of the cities in work with animals. In Lviv the majority of relevant services is properly functioning, the work progress is evident in the major indexes," is said in the post"Rating from Animal-ID.info was based on calculations of animals in the cities of Ukraine and services implemented in each city," explained CEO and co-founder of Animal-ID.info Victor Kopach.
Oksana Koshak, Director of LME "Lev": "We have found an effective model of work with homeless animals towards humane reduction of their population. Since 2014, we have implemented comprehensive program in our city: systematic neutering → immunization → adoption (or return to the original location under the custody of a caregiver). The latter means that LME "Lev" provides not only veterinary services, as well as required treatment and care to stray animals, but also a chance to find a new home! Last year we rehomed almost 550 homeless paws." Moreover, the enterprise still offers free-of-charge implantation of microchips for owned dogs. For details, please, call us +38 068 535 4545.
